ADT offers several battery-replacement options for our customers, including a self-service option on most systems and
devices. A few easy steps will get you ready to replace a low battery:
- Silence low-battery beeping.
Low battery trouble beeps can be silenced by pushing OFF on most systems – refer to your system manual in the
MyADT.com Help Center for specific instructions.
- Make sure the battery needs to be replaced.
If you’ve experienced a recent power outage, allow 48 hours for the battery to recharge. If the low battery alert is still
displayed, it is time to replace it.

- Recycle your old battery.
Dispose of your old battery appropriately. To find a recycler in your area, visit Battery & Cellphone Dropoff Locations | Call2Recycle | United States. Returning a
lead-acid battery to a recycler listed on this site is free of charge and will ensure that it is being recycled according to all
applicable regulatory requirements.
