If you haven’t noticed yet, we are now running OpenLiteSpeed on all our Shared/Reseller Hosting Servers.
Based on our test, Nginx and OpenLiteSpeed are identical when it comes to Speed and Stability performance except that Nginx doesn’t support .htaccess so we decided to use OpenLiteSpeed instead.
With OpenLiteSpeed, you may now use the WP LSCache Plugin from LiteSpeed. If you have installed this on your WP already, this will be enabled automatically by our plugin.
Things to remember when editing .htaccess:
It is important that if you edit your .htaccess, please do this via file manager on your DA control panel and you will see an option in the top left corner near htaccess word to reload .htaccess file. Clicking this will restart OpenLiteSpeed so please be gentle.
If you upload your .htaccess using FTP, this will automatically restart OpenLiteSpeed too. So, there is no need to go to File Manager to reload the file since FTP is automatic.
